I originally created this blog to share my travel journal, one that I wrote in as I journeyed throughout the United States by train.
A little over a year ago, I decided to take time away from school. I grabbed my backpack, took a few hundred dollars, and couchsurfed my way across the country. For whatever reason, I was pretty fearless and perhaps irresponsible. But my decision to take that leap, begin trusting others, and begin trusting my feelings of what I want out of life, has given me a invaluable perspective that I did not have prior to my trip.
I’m currently back in school working towards my degree. I know that traveling brings out a part of me that must be brought to the surface more often. I intend to continue exploring the world. And I intend to continue exploring the minds of others.
I’m a 22 year old student of the University of Oregon. I grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon and currently live in Eugene.
In addition to science, I’ve always had a passion for writing. I usually post travel-related insights and pictures in my You, Me, And The Universe blog. And whenever I feel the need to reflect on my life, talk to myself, or dig for motivation, I write in my blog Buried Thoughts.
This blog is really for me, it’s my outlet. But if I simultaneously help other people by sharing my thoughts, then I’d love to offer them and, in turn, hear yours. I know how much I benefit from listening to others.
